Stayin' Alive

                 

  " ....BY THE WAY I  USE MY WALK.... AH, AH, AH, AH-"  No... joking, this is not about the Bee Gees, nor is it about Jim Moriarty, nor even the great David Tennant- well, not really...
                                            This post is actually about being alive. 
                     I was watching some classic Doctor Who (Okay, so, David Tennant's past regeneration, but... THAT'S NOT THE POINT!) , the episode from 1963 called "The Daleks- the Expedition". Alydon, an alien that looks exactly like a human( because that happens all the time)- from the planet of Skyro, for all of you Whovians that care- is talking about whether or not to help the Doctor and his companions, at the risk of fighting the Daleks(evil robot aliens!), breaking their little code of conducts. He decides to help the Doctor, saying,
        " There is no indignity in being afraid to die- but there is great shame in being afraid to live."

                 And I thought- yes. Blogging this. Now.
Being afraid to die- As Spock says, it is a sentient beings natural programming to want to live, and to be prosperous, besides. That's why when people do stupid stuff like this: 

You just shake your head and do a facepalm. Because- really, no. Doing stuff like that is not a good idea, it is reckless, and you will get very mortally wounded, BECAUSE YOU'RE A MUGGLE! 

So, no, being afraid to die is not a bad thing- in fact, if someone says they are not afraid to die, not at all, then they are lying. Be afraid to die, you'll live longer.

HOWEVER- if you're paranoid over the fact that you could die, you're not living, you're existing. There is a wide stretch between cowardice and logic. Do fun things; like Sirius Black said, " What is life without a little risk?" Go shoot an arrow, climb a tree, go Cosplay as Loki,  help the community, HAVE A PIE EATING CONTEST! Just don't do stupid stuff like drink and drive, or jump out of windows pretending you're a wizard- I don't care how drunk you are, and I don't care if that's photoshoped, because it's a good example. 

I hate using this, but- You Only Live Once... Unless you're a character from the BBC, but that's a whole different thing. Live your life- take risks, have fun, help people, praise God, but don't be an idot about it. 

And above all:
